Citizen participation plan

The Citizen participation in the context of the development and evaluation of environmental studies, is a public process that involves a number of mechanisms (workshops, public hearings) prior, during and after the study, called by the relevant entities of the government and the head of the project with the aim of providing people with timely and relevant information also to promote dialogue and channel views. The citizen participation plan for the development and evaluation of environmental Studies is the document by which the contractor of the productive activity describes the actions and mechanisms to inform the population involved about the future project. Informative workshops are aimed to provide information about the project and establish a dialogue with the local population about the EIA, the potential impacts of the project activities, and the prevention, control and mitigation measures to be adopted, as well as to collect local perceptions about it. The public hearing is a public event held after the studies are submitted to the government.
