The Forestry and Wildlife Law No.27308 and its regulations states: Contract holders of petroleum operations, mining, industrial or any other kind, which conduct their activities within the scope of forests or wooded areas, requires authorization for forest clearing. In addition holders of the above contract must request authorization from the General Directorate of Forestry and Wild Animals of the Agriculture Ministry (DGFFS - MINAGRI) and pay the fee corresponding to forest clearing.
