Environmental Monitoring

In accordance with Peruvian legislation, projects with significant impacts must be subject to an environmental monitoring programme. In such programmes monitoring parameters, sampling frequency and minimum acceptable levels are set for each environmental component to be evaluated.

DOMUS has designed and put into practice environmental monitoring programmes consisting of monitoring compliance with environmental regulations of certain elements (water, soils & air); wildlife and vegetation; as well as the socio-cultural environment.

Our personnel have wide experience of the sampling methodology applicable to environmental components. Sampling is carried out using international procedures so that the samples collected allow for an adequate analysis in the laboratory. We have equipment for measuring parameters in the field, in order to reduce the amount of samples that must be sent and analyzed in laboratory.

Knowledge of a wide variety of ecosystems enables our personnel to adapt evaluation and recording methodologies whilst collecting information on specimens of flora and fauna. These practical considerations are combined in order to implement and execute effective monitoring programmes.
